Street Art can be a divisive subject. It tends to be grouped with graffiti or tagging, but it can be a legitimate and powerful tool for expression of ideas and for breathing fresh air into derelict urban spaces. Personally, I find it exciting. By its very nature, it confronts you in your daily routine, and reaches out to everyone who passes by. It deserves credit for its ability to involve the public and challenge ideas, and even for just jazzing up a grey urban space.

Whether it’s on your doorstep or a trip to a new city, get outside, look around and find some near you. Or dare I say it, create some.
