Food Me came to us with a vision for creating plant-based, healthy vegan food that could put a smile on the face of carnivores, omnivores and veggies alike. We worked with Kay and the team from the beginning to create a brand, online presence and packaging for Food Me.
Our creative sessions and vision for the brand was to move away from the minimal, muted tones of many other contemporary food companies and inject Kay’s love of colour and the rainbow shades of whole fruits and vegetables into the logo and accompanying assets.
The logo itself is a playful take on the different components of a healthy plant-based diet and the abundance and variety of produce on offer. Storks and shoots illustrate the farm to table benefits of eating fresh, organic and local produce whenever possible. The strapline ‘The Good Stuff’ keeps the brand grounded and in touch with their northern Cheshire roots.
We also created a range of complementing messages and icons which can be used across packaging, menus and signage, continuing with the fun, energised personality of the brand.
Rolling the branding out across a range of printed materials has given Food Me the flexibility to move their set up across a range of locations and events, from Alex James’ Big Feastival to Food Me’s current home, the award-winning pop up space, Hatch Manchester.
We are currently developing a larger online presence for Kay as she continues to expand the brand, and reach more plant-loving foodies.
