BBC Philharmonic – Helen Musselwhite
Continuing our long-standing relationship with the BBC Philharmonic orchestra and marketing partner The Lowry, we took a new visual direction, teaming up with paper artist Helen Musselwhite to reimagine the orchestra’s season of Bridgewater Hall concerts. The challenge, as always, was to transfer the emotion and physicality of the concerts into the printed medium – without reaching for a treble clef or dancing musical notes!

We collaborated with Helen to create a series of bespoke artwork, ranging from a Beethoven bust to the towering tip of New York’s Chrysler building. Each piece created was given its own mini brief, taking inspiration from specific concerts, season themes, or standout quotes from international press.

Kate Fitzgerald Visitor Insights Manager, The Lowry“Raw are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are friendly and professional, work well to a design brief as well as offering creative solutions on jobs that don’t have them.”

Building on previous season designs, the season brochure and individual adverts all follow a simple, consistent grid pattern ensuring that each unique piece of artwork feels at home and familiar in the season series.
